Description
The new process of ultrasonically driving the solder head eliminates the need to add corrosive acids/fluxes. "Ultrasonic cavitation" cleans and removes oxides from the substrate surface on the molten solder while soldering. Ultrasonic electric iron welding process, without flux, can realize the welding of difficult-to-weld materials and special base materials (such as glass, ceramics, aluminum, steel, titanium, silicon, metal oxides, superconductors) under normal pressure. No flux is required, and it will not corrode the surface of the base metal.
Principle of ultrasonic soldering iron equipment
Whether it is hand-held or machine-mounted, the ultrasonic electric soldering iron equipment adopts the iron tip of the ultrasonic vibration heater to vibrate and melt the solder layer. Piezoelectric crystals are mounted in the handle of such devices and connected to a metal tool head with an integrated welding head for longitudinal vibration. The tool tip (solder tip) is usually passed through a heating tube, or a resistive heating wire is wrapped around the tip of the soldering iron. This design ensures that the tool head (solder tip) vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies, typically between 20^60KHz. Commercial equipment has a console that controls the power of the ultrasonic wave (10^50W) and the heating power supply and a temperature controller to control the temperature of the solder joints.
Ultrasonic electric soldering iron equipment generates a lot of heat during the welding process and combined with the unique high-frequency oscillation of ultrasonic waves, it can eliminate the influence of the oxide film on the surface of the processed object on welding, and completely eliminate the bubbles generated in the traditional welding process.
